My mission is to bring practical, positive psychology to a wider audience
Often, people don’t realise that it is possible to change the way you think and feel. We are all born with potential or a blueprint which forms the basis of our true identity. However, life can get in the way and thwart your efforts to be the person you are truly meant to be. When that happens, you often sense frustration, dissatisfaction or unhappiness, but maybe you can’t really put your finger on any particular cause. These are all signals that you are ready for making over your mindset.
Today we think nothing of making over our homes, our cars, and even our fashion sense! Some people spend a fortune restyling their hair, reshaping their bodies and changing their faces. Maybe you’re familiar with that growing industry of TV shows telling us how to improve just about anything – and how popular they have become.
We can all perhaps recognise that things benefit from updating – as circumstances change or as life moves on. Many people see and feel the benefits of change and general improvements, perhaps keeping up to date with fashion, striving to get fitter and healthier or spending money on updating the house or garden. Some people have a mini makeover by whitening their teeth, tattooing their eyebrows or having cosmetic surgery procedures. For some this may be great, but often it is only changing things externally or superficially. What if you could do the same thing internally?
Imagine what happens when you positively change outdated and unwanted attitudes and behaviour! This is where I can help. I’ve worked with hundreds of people who wanted to overcome issues that were blighting their lives. For some it was a simple fear that was spoiling their ability to enjoy everyday life. For others, traumatic events or longstanding problems had negatively impacted on the way they approached everything. Many people felt dissatisfied with their relationships and couldn’t see a positive way forward. Others were crippled by constant anxiety, overwhelmed by lack of sleep or low mood. Sometimes problems have gone on for so long that they seem to become a part of who you are, and consequently you feel stuck and frustrated. For all of these people the message was clear – it was time to change and they needed expert help.
So often you limit what you can do or achieve, sometimes without even realising that life can be different and the change you need is within your control. I use practical, positive psychology to help you explore what you really need and guide you through your very own mind makeover.
Is it time for you to make a positive difference to your life? Step back and think about how you would like to be. What would be different in your life and in your relationships? What benefits would you notice?
